HewnFrame — End User License Agreement
This is the agreement ("EULA") between you (the "Licensee") and Hewnpath ("we", "us") for use of the HewnFrame plugin and the api.hewnframe.com service ("Service"). By installing, activating, or running HewnFrame, you agree to these terms.
1. Grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to (a) install and run the Plugin via the Figma Community, and (b) use the Service in connection with that Plugin, subject to the limits below.
2. Tiers
- Free: unlimited installs, capped at 5 audits per rolling 30-day window per device. Does not include visual consistency checks (
vc-*), auto-fix, or custom rules. - Pro: unlimited audits, all 18 checks, auto-fix on issues classified
safe, custom rules, three device activations per license key.
3. Payment
Pro is billed monthly via Polar, our merchant of record. Polar's terms govern payment, refunds, and tax. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period; existing activations remain valid until then.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer the Plugin to circumvent license validation,
- share license keys or extend activations beyond the three-device limit by automation, or
- use the Service to process material you do not have rights to.
5. Data
The Plugin sends to the HewnFrame API host:
- License key + opaque device identifier (sha256 of Figma user id + install nonce) for activation, heartbeat, deactivation.
- Audit metadata (categories, frame count, duration) for free-tier rate-limit enforcement and aggregate analytics.
We do not send: file contents, node names, node IDs, file IDs, team or organization identifiers, image bytes, or any other content from your Figma documents. The audit runs entirely inside the Figma plugin sandbox.
Anonymous free-tier usage requires only the device identifier.
6. Liability
The Plugin and Service are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
7. Termination
We may terminate this license if you breach these terms, and on termination you must remove the Plugin from your Figma client. We may discontinue the Service with thirty days' notice; refunds for prepaid periods will be prorated.
8. Changes
We may update this EULA. Material changes will be announced in-plugin and via the Polar customer email. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance.
